The pearl was grown on a river farm in the Yangtze River Delta in eastern China. Freshwater mussels there produce pearls in a range of soft colours, and peach is among the most coveted. It formed slowly in clean, flowing water, in the care of farmers who tend each mussel by hand. It was harvested in 2025 and selected for its round shape and rich, even colour.
