In January 2026, Pearl Code marked one of the most important milestones in the brand’s history: our first international participation as an exhibiting brand at Bijorhca Paris — one of Europe’s largest jewelry exhibitions.
For us, this experience was not just about a stand, collections, or contacts. It was about courage, speed of decision-making, growth, and the confirmation that the Pearl Code vision has a place on the international stage.
From a plan on paper to reality in less than two weeks
Initially, 2026 was meant to be the year in which we would strategically prepare for our first international exhibition. Our plans were set for summer or even autumn. However, after December 20th, an unexpected opportunity arose — to participate already in January.
That’s when the race against time began.
Vicky Maxim, Founder of Pearl Code:
“Everything came together in less than two weeks. It was intense, exhausting, but incredibly mobilizing. The kind of decision that pushes you completely out of your comfort zone — and that’s exactly where growth happens.”
In record time, we prepared the stand, materials, collections, and logistics. We arrived in Paris with three representative collections:
- Crown Collection — powerful, sophisticated, with strong royal symbolism
- Rozeta Collection — deeply rooted in identity, cultural heritage, and symbolism
- Basic Collection — easy to wear, versatile, designed for everyday styling
The first two stood out through concept and message, while the third impressed through wearability and accessibility.
A step supported by partners who believe in innovation
The participation cost for a 6 m² stand was approximately €4,000. The participation fee was fully covered with the support of Innovate Moldova, to whom we are deeply grateful.
This support made Pearl Code’s presence in a competitive international context possible and strengthened our confidence that creative innovation from Moldova deserves to be seen globally.
A moment of pride: the visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova
One of the most emotional moments of the exhibition was the visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Paris to our stand.
Mila Tomșa, Founder of Pearl Code:
“For us, it was a very powerful symbolic validation. To represent a Moldovan brand in an international space and receive official support — it’s a feeling that brings responsibility and tremendous motivation.”

Differentiating Pearl Code in a sea of brands
Bijorhca Paris brought together hundreds of brands, spread across multiple halls and levels. In this context, one thing became very clear: few brands treat pearls as a central identity concept, not just as a material.
Pearl Code stood out through:
- symbolic positioning
- strong collection storytelling
- an approach to pearls as an expression of feminine power, not merely aesthetics
Even though pearls have become more accessible on the market, a divine, conceptual, and emotional positioning remains rare and valuable.

The compliment that moved us the most: Japan
One particularly special moment was the visit of representatives of the Japanese government to our stand.
They were especially impressed by the quality of the pearls in the Rozeta collection, noting in particular the black pearl and the careful selection of materials.
Vicky Maxim, Founder of Pearl Code:
“When specialists from a pearl culture like Japan validate your quality, you feel your work is recognized at the highest possible level.”
For us, this was one of the most meaningful professional compliments we have received to date.

Global connections and the beginning of a new chapter
The exhibition also served as an intense networking platform. We established connections with:
- concept stores across Europe
- designers and potential partners from the USA, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Ukraine, Germany, France, Japan, and other countries
However, the most important part is only beginning now: follow-ups, relationships, ongoing communication, negotiations, and the building of real partnerships.
Mila Tomșa, Founder of Pearl Code:
“The exhibition was the starting point. The real work begins now.”

Lessons learned and the next level
This experience offered us a very clear perspective:
- what we did well
- where we can optimize
- what needs to be prepared more professionally for the next stage
Our plan is to participate in another international exhibition in 2026 — this time more organized, more focused, and with a clearer commercial strategy.

More than an exhibition: a step toward the Pearl Code vision
For us, Bijorhca Paris was not just another event on a calendar. It was a concrete step toward what we are building long-term:
- an international brand
- global recognition
- a premium positioning with a strong identity
- jewelry that tells stories and creates meaning
This is only the beginning.
